Justice Frontline Aid provides aid, resources, and education to those who put their bodies on the frontlines fighting for justice and fighting against repression.
We started in the first days of the uprising following the murder of George Floyd by Minneapolis Police. Our president, Matt Allen, a friend, and two strangers began patching people up in a burning Target parking. They were providing first aid for injuries inflicted by the Minneapolis police.
JFA began providing first aid, snacks, water, and other supplies for protesters throughout the uprising. At the end of the year, JFA began also providing protest marshals. We also have done mutual aid and make donations to movement organizations. Since the uprising, we have continued to support protests.
Over time, JFA evolved with the needs of the movement to provide a sound truck, protest supplies, training, and assistance planning protests.
Some of the causes JFA has helped stand up for: victims of police violence, immigrant rights, opposition to operation metro surge, stopping encampment evictions, opposing homophobia, body autonomy, anti-imperialism and the fight against the genocide in Gaza.
