JFA President and co-founder, Matt Allen, is a long-term Twin Cities resident born in the Bronx. The overt violence against peaceful protesters and passersby that he witnessed in the first days of protests for the murder of George Floyd inspired him to take action to help keep people safe.
Matt is also local hip hop star Nur-D. He was arrested protesting George Floyd's execution, and he was violently arrested by ICE protesting the murder of Alex Pretti.
